Fall 2011-2012 Line-Up

In case you haven’t heard or have been living in the dreary world of a TV-free existence for the last few weeks, the fall television line-up was officially released by all the major networks at the end of May, including the new shows for the coming season. I know it’s hard to keep up with the constant-changing schedule and the countless short-lived series, so I’ve compiled an easy-to-navigate, one-stop list for all the new shows premiering during the 2011-2012 television season. After all, with many of the summer shows still waiting to make their debuts or anticipated returns, what better time is there to get to know your primetime schedule before everyone else? This way, you can get a head start on water-cooler gossip and maybe even start a trend at work.

The following list is organized by network. Some networks may have more than one video for their shows, depending on what has been released to the public.

Hello! And Welcome!

While most of the nation relates Springtime to the reappearance of green plant life, warmer temperatures and the Easter Bunny, people in the television industry know it as the first sign that things are about to get even more intense. Show runners wait with baited breath for news on the fate of their show while the rest of the world watches in awe as their favorite characters are put in some of their most trying situations of the season. For most shows, filming has wrapped for the season, the networks are discussing which shows to keep and which ones to can, and pre-production is well underway for the cast and crew, just in case they are one of the lucky ones who hear those three magic words: “You’ve been renewed.” But before they start celebrating too much, they still have one little obstacle to overcome. The season finale. Yes, folks, for television people, Spring has another name: sweeps.
